Arrabida wine tour
We'll start our journey crossing the 25th of April bridge and going
straight to Azeitão, in the heart of Arrábida mountain. We do need to prepare our stomachs for all the
wine, so, let's try the cheese of Azeitão, visiting the old Dairy and
cheese museum, trying both cheese and Moscatel wine.
But this is a wine tour, just one glass isn't enough. José Maria da Fonseca is one of the oldest wine producer brands in
Portugal, visiting this cellar we can get to know everything about the famous "moscatel" and even find why it is forbidden to kill
spiders! Here we'll try 3 different wines and taste the famous "Tortas de
Azeitão" (the sweets from the region).
Probably you won't feel hungry at all but it's time to cross the Natural Park of Arrábida and look for the most hidden
restaurant in the region, where you can sample many different dishes and a great gastronomy.
Now it's time to do a hard choice: more wine or a tile painting workshop?
Do you feel more like tiles? We can visit an old tile-painting factory where you'll find everything about tiles and will have the opportunity to paint a tile yourself, that you can have shipped home!
At the end of the tour we'll go back to Lisbon by the Vasco da Gama bridge, giving you the opportunity to cross both bridges.
