You've seen Lisbon by night. Bairro alto,docas, discos and bars... Probably heard some fado, but what do you think people outside Lisbon do?
Is a party night basicly the same everywhere?
Off from tourist tracks, from outsiders eyes, every small town has it's own small authentic festivity. Summer nights with live music, where neighbors and emigrants back home for the summer dance with each other, celebrate another summer,and beg the Patron Saint another good year. Popular live music, regional wine, and much much joy, in a different Portugal you haven't seen before.
From June to September these festivities are almost granted, and you have two options: come during the Sunday afternoon and attend the holy mass followed by the procession, or come by night (during the week) to drink a glass of green wine and try to dance a bit.
Fun and a different day / night are guaranteed!
