Covid-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tourism Board of Portugal has certified Lisbon Stories as “Clean and Safe”. That means that all our tours are in conformity with DGS – Directorate-General for Health requirements for the prevention and control of viral infections.

We’ve created an Internal Protocol in conformity with such requirements. In short:

- All our guides  received specific training on how to comply with basic infection prevention and control precautions. All our guides know how to act and who to call in case a client starts showing symptoms during a tour.

- Face masks and hand sanitizing gel are available for all our clients, free of charge, as needed.

- According to Portuguese law, clients and guides are requested to wear facemask at all times.

-  A social safety distance of 2 meters will be maintained between clients and guides. On driving tours this means that no client can seat in the front seat.

- Clients will be requested to use hand-sanitizer gel whenever returning to the car.

- Shopping bags will be kept in the car trunk during the length of the tour.

- Guides can not join clients for meals, snacks or drinks. Our guides can and will be glad to make restaurant recommendations and reservations but not join.

- The tour itinerary can be adjusted at any time in order to avoid crowded areas. The guide will suggest alternatives and the client has the final word about such changes. In case of disagreement between guide and client, the guide may wait for the client in a clear meeting area.

- All our vans are thoroughly cleaned at the end of each tour, with a specific Covid-19 cleaning product. Seats, door handles, A/C exits, buttons and so on will be properly disinfected.

- All third party suppliers booked by Lisbon Stories (such as wineries, bike rentals, etc) are to abide by these guidelines. Although our guides will verify all safety norms, we can’t be held responsible if a client falls ill during a tour.

- Cancellation Policy – all tours can be cancelled up to one week with no penalty. We understand how you may be forced to change your plans without prior notice. Tours cancelled within less than 7 days will receive a gift certificate with no expiration date. In all cases, clients can re-schedule their trip with no extra cost.
